Where to find Kaela

Kaela is found near their place of origin: haven merchant. They will not appear at random in markets — you have to physically travel to find them. The first conversation gates whether they will join your crew at all, so it is worth approaching it with a save backup.

The bonus listed above (-12% market prices) is the mechanical effect, but Kaela also fires roughly 40 unique one-line reactions across the game depending on what you do — boss spawns, critical hits, warps, and docks all have a chance to trigger their voice. Strategy: when to recruit them

Hire Kaela as early as you can afford their fee, because the bonus compounds across the entire run. A bonus of "-12% market prices" is much more valuable in Chapter 1 than in Chapter 4, even though the absolute math is identical. The earlier you start applying it, the more total benefit you get.

Synergies with other crew

Kaela pairs well with crew whose bonuses operate in a different domain. If their bonus affects offense, pair them with a defensive or utility crew.
