Weaver Prime

Weaver Prime is one of the named NPCs in CONTRABAND. Leader of the Weaver order — that role description is the surface; the character beneath it has more going on than the early dialogue suggests.

First encounter

You first meet Weaver Prime at a specific moment in the game. The encounter is scripted, not random — it will happen when the trigger fires, regardless of your routing. The dialogue that opens depends on the chapter and your current reputation state.

What Weaver Prime does in the story

Across the game, Weaver Prime appears in 3–6 scenes depending on your choices. Some of those scenes are mandatory; others gate behind reputation, item possession, or completion of related side content. The most rewarding way to engage is to take Weaver Prime seriously rather than skip-reading their dialogue.

Reputation and influence

Your relationship with Weaver Prime is tracked separately from faction reputation. Specific actions improve or damage it: helping when asked, refusing when refused is appropriate, lying or telling truth at the right moments. Weaver Prime remembers what you say to them.

Hidden interactions

If you complete a New Game+ run with the Oracle Crystal, Weaver Prime acknowledges your previous playthrough in a small but meaningful line. This is one of the easter eggs that rewards completionist players.

Pilots who treat Weaver Prime as a real character — and who play their relationship deliberately — unlock content that pilots who skim past them never see. The game rewards attention to NPCs more than it rewards optimal combat play.
