Torx the Faceless

Torx the Faceless is one of six named boss encounters in CONTRABAND. The bounty (600,000 cr) is fixed but the loot drops vary by your reputation, your weapons used, and whether you triggered the boss's chase variant or stood your ground.

Where to find Torx the Faceless

Torx the Faceless appears in the Scourge Reach. The first time you cross into the region with the right plot flag set, the boss spawns at a specific system within. You can avoid the encounter by warping out — the boss does not pursue across regions.

Stat profile and abilities

Torx the Faceless has a stat profile distinct from regular enemies — higher HP, layered shields, and at least one signature ability that punishes one specific weapon archetype. Pilots who fly with a single weapon type often find one or two bosses much harder than the rest. Bringing a secondary weapon for shield-stripping is the most consistent advice.

Recommended strategy

Most pilots beat Torx the Faceless on their second or third attempt. The first attempt teaches you the boss's pattern; subsequent attempts execute around it. Range management matters more than raw DPS — staying just outside the boss's optimal range while keeping your shots on target is what separates clean kills from messy ones.
